With 110 years of operation, the Milwaukee Mile is the oldest operating speedway on the planet. This week it plays host to Milwaukee IndyFest.

1) This is the Lambeau Field of racing
Yes, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is bigger and has a ton of history, but the Milwaukee Mile is older and the Packers actually played there. In fact, the Milwaukee Mile hosted the NFL championship game in 1939. The Packers beat the New York Giants. With Lambeau Field and Camp Randall Field also in our state, it’s in good company. Wisconsin loves its historical sports venues.
